IRON SHARPENING IRON
"Iron Sharpening Iron'' is a tutoring and mentor initiative that is proposed to take place after the Sunbeam Choir Rehearsal on Thursdays at 7:00pm (BY APPOINTMENTS ONLY). This strategic timing allows students to bring in their homework and prepare for their weekly tests which are often held on Fridays. It also allows us to utilize the presence of both youth and young adults within the church. Our youth volunteers, equipped with their own educational experience and a passion for community service, will provide tutoring for participating children.
Objectives:
Educational Support: Provide tailored tutoring sessions to help children bridge the learning gaps created during the pandemic.
Mentorship: Foster positive mentor-mentee relationships to inspire and guide younger children toward academic excellence and personal growth.
Community Building: Strengthen the sense of community within Bethlehem Temple and its surrounding community by encouraging intergenerational relationships and community support.
